3 years ago, I participated in the Norwegian version of Project Runway. I was familiar with the American serie, and even though I wasn’t very keen on being on TV, I was intrigued by the concept. Audition day was fun, over 200 people showed up. I wore a green dress, blue hair, a smile on my face and a rack full clothes.
Program 1: make a new outfit of what you are wearling now!
Program 2: make an outfit inspired from what you see in the streets (I chose a grafitti wall).
Program 3: make a snowboard outfit. The challenge was also to spend a day on snowboard (it was super hard) and to work in a team of 2, with Iselin Engan.
Program 4: fashion for mum! I made this for Daniel Sørensen’s mum, May. I think she looks so cool in this outfit.
Program 6: design a dogs outfit plus a matching dress for the model! I won this challenge :-)
Program 7: make a new uniform for the Norwegian Post Service.
Episode 8: make over! I made an outfit for Iselin Engan…
Program 9: make a wedding dress in 2 days!
Program 10: make a dress for the Norwegian movie star Ingrid Bolsø Berdal. I won the challenge and went straight to the finale.
Together with Daniel Sørensen and Iselin Engan, the 3 of us had 1 month and $$$ to make each our collection to showcase at the ELLE 10 years anniversary gala. Here I am, having fun with our mentor, sweet sweet William.
I was very inspired by the movie The Wizard of Oz, and used elements from the movie mixed with influences from Japan (as allways!)
I ended up second, after Daniel Sørensen who won.
It was such a great experience.
